Lost in Translation

Chinese menu roast duck



I often wonder why people don’t double check their menus before they go ahead with the printing, seeing as they’ve invested so much in setting up the business. But I suppose if I were asked to translate a menu into a language that I’m unfamiliar with, I might make a mistake or three.

Ocean Room: Petit Tasty Photos

Time again to share some pretty pictures. This time from the lovely Ocean Room, which beautifully presents modern Japanese cuisine.

The quality of the food was impressive even on (or perhaps because of) my burger and fries palate. I savoured every last bit of it and this is coming from someone who, usually, isn’t a fan of raw fish

These yummy morsels were my sister’s idea. I was part of the production line spooning diced tomato, avocado and sweet chilli sauce on crackers spread with cream cheese. They were easy to put together and easier to polish off
