Food photos: Aperitif at Kings Cross

Aperitif is a cosy little restaurant in Kings Cross about 5 minutes from Sydney’s CBD. The cuisine is Mediterranean leaning more toward French, as does the charming décor. The menu is designed for sharing and consists mainly of scrumptious morsels like the ocean trout gravlax shown above. Here are examples of some of the other beautifully presented, delectable fare you can sample at Aperitif:
Prices range from $5 to $25; most are $18 and under with only the pastilla being $25. There are two tasting menus to choose from which require a minimum of 6 people and they are $65 and $85 per person.
The staff are friendly and professional and they will be more than happy to help you with the menu (they were very helpful and patient with a table of butchers of the French language).
This isn’t the cheapest place to dine, but the gorgeous food, excellent service and great atmosphere makes it worth every cent.
