When I was 8, a teacher got the class to say this:
She sells seashells by the seashore,
but the shells she sells
are not seashore shells.
As an 8 year old, there was some considerable head swelling when I was the first to get this tongue twister out…
which led me to another one:
How much wood
would a woodchuck chuck,
if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
If only I’d found the answer to this one earlier – you wouldn’t believe how many people have offered numerical answers after I’d explained to them they’re supposed to try to say it, not answer it. Well, the ‘answer’ to this ‘question’ is:
As much wood
as a woodchuck would,
if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
Too easy, right?
So try to say this really fast:
Irish wristwatch
Do you have a favourite tongue twister?
