I love these incredibly hardy trees. They are absolutely gorgeous and it’s amazing how their roots have sought out the nooks and crannies in rocks and latched on.

Rusty, the trunks are wonderful, close ups would do much for those incredible patterns but I think you'd need a better camera for that..

Natalina, hippies can be clean, can't they ? I get a bit excited when I see gorgeous trees. If they had souls, they'd probably wonder why some woman with a camera keeps fussing around them.

katyzzz, I have a few photos of tree trunks that I was thinking of doing a post on, but the shots are quite repetitive... the quality probably isn't that great either. The detail on the first photo is lost when I shrank the photo to upload - it looks pretty cool full screen. I have another photo of the same tree, so I might crop it to show the detail if I end up putting together a post on bark.
